Four simple steps to making ice-cream
900 ml of milk
6 Egg yolks
300 grams of Sugar
| Bring milk to boil. | |
| In a bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar. | |
| Add beaten egg yolks and sugar to milk and leave to cool. | |
| When cool add flavour of choice, blend well and place in freezer till firm. |
With this simple Ice-cream base you can produce many different flavours, why not try a few of our ideas?
| Coffee | When still warm simply add instant coffee powder to desired taste. |
| Amaretto | Add 15 grams of crumbled Amaretto biscuit, and stir in gently. |
| Chocolate | While boiling base mix add 2oz of Cocoa Powder and stir in well ( Why not try chopping your favourite chocolate bar and adding prior to freezing) |
| Strawberry | Add 1 pint
of fresh strawberry's sliced. Add 1/3 of a cup of sugar and juice of half
a lemon. Cover and refrigerate for one hour, blend strawberrys into puree and add to ice cream base, leave to freeze till firm. |
